Made from pineapples (!).
They combine two best-selling concepts; recycled plastic-bottle mesh and vegan pineapple “leather” and turned it into our Re-Run Pineapple. More specifically the upper is made from the leaves of pineapples from local pineapple farmers from the Philippines, providing them with extra income and substituting animal-based ingredients for plant-based ingredients.
– Upper: Piñatex 72% PALF (Pineapple Leaf Fibre), 18% PLA (Polylactic Acid) 10% Bio PU.
– Mesh: 100% Recycled Polyester, Global Recycled Standard.
– Insole: 100% recycled EVA.
– Outsole: 95% recycled rubber, 5% natural rubber.
– Midsole: 65% Sugarcane bio-based EVA, 35% EVA.
– Lining: 100% recycled polyester.
– Laces: Organic cotton (100%).
